In 1902 with the financial backing of a wealthy German friend and Dunlop pneumatic tyre in 1902 the first Triumph motorcycle rolls out of the factory with a Belgian 2 horsepower Minerva engine with automatic inlet valve and battery and coil ignition inside a bicycle frame.
